Hello,

I have a vibration issue with my TRD offroad.

This problem was right out of the dealership. It hits at different speeds, 29, 42, 57, 69 KMPH and feels like driving on tight corduroy road. Vibration is on both acceleration and deceleration. They have opened a case on it, and apparently 2 or 3 of the Tacos the have all present the same issue.

Anyone experiencing something similar?

Thanks for any help.

Yup 170kms on truck trd off road and dealer found the drivers side front and rear tires are oblong, waiting to hear from dealer next what we are gonna do about this, could feel the vibration right through the seat 48-60kph speciific

I have a TRD Off-Road Hybrid, and have had no vibration issues. But thanks for the heads up.

I don't mean to simplify the issue, BUT... most cars and trucks are shipped with over-inflated tires so they don't develop flat spots in the radial belts as they sit on the transport, or on the lot. Driving while they are over-inflated can cause the vibration you've described. It's supposed to be corrected during PDI, but I've heard about instances where it gets missed. Maybe you already checked this, but maybe it's also a simple fix? Regardless, I hope there's a quick and satisfactory resolution for you on this issue.

Mine had a very weird vibration above 80 mph when I first got it. I've changed out the wheels and tires since and it went away.

So tires replaced and vibration still there. Switched to winter rims and tires and still getting vibrations. Friend 6 hrs away having same issue. Dealer replaced tires on his which he said helped but he can still feel a vibration but not as bad. Wtf is going on?

thanks for the reply's ! So far absolutely zero movement on the issue. now at 8 months ownership. Want to love it, but it it not a nice ride in its current configuration. to the point I avoid driving any real milage. not very happy with the " legendary" build quality and customer service.

how much damamge / wear is going on as this thing vibrates like a jonesing crack whore ???!!!

I would check the driveline. Start with rear driveshaft, and the front. You could technically test this too. Remove the front driveshaft and go for a drive. Then, put truck in 4WD and remove rear driveshaft and go for a drive. Obviously, do not remove both... lol. Removing one eliminates the other if the problem goes away. Could be an unbalanced/damaged shaft. A bad driveline vibration shakes the whole truck and you feel it most in the floor. If it's not wheels/tires, and not the driveshafts, maybe then the CV axles. But this is getting a bit too deep. I would (or have someone else) test the driveshafts. And yes, you are okay to drive in 4WD with the front driveshaft only, especially short term. Unless there's some new, weird electronic sensor I don't know about yet. However I don't think there is. Otherwise, very strange symptoms. Maybe the transmission. I would say that is the least likely right now.
