What tires are you running on your 4th Gen Tacoma?

Hey guys,

I’m curious what everyone else is running on their 4th Gen. Right now I’m running the Rough Country Overlander 33" M/Ts. They’ve been really solid off-road, with great traction, solid feel and have survived a lot. However we are on the freeway often and this is not the best set for that, so I am thinking about an alternative set.

My dad has a TRD Sport with 33" Falken Wildpeak A/Ts, and those handle the freeway a bit better, but still not amazing, and somehow he's getting worse MPG than I am.

So I’m wondering what did you guys go with, and how do you like them both on and off the road? Any favorites for daily driving without giving up too much traction?

I'm running 285/70R17 Firestone Destination MT/2s with no lift and no trimming. Love that you can fit these size tires on a stock truck. They've been working great so far.

Nice! I havent looked into Firestone.

I first ran some 33x12.5x17 Arroyo Tamarock RTs. Just upgraded to a 37x12.5, same tire. Can't complain! We wheeled these tires hard on our trip to Colorado about a month ago.

How are you liking the 11.5s? Was there a particular reason you went that route? Cost, trimming, appearance, etc.

Went with the 11.5 for one to try to keep it in the fender because the paint kinda sucks and chips easy and the second I do a lot of fire roads and nothing super crazy as far as rock crawling so don't need a super wide tire.
