Update on the Rough Country 3.5” Lift – 2025 Tacoma TRD Off Road Got the truck back and I’m stoked with how it turned out. The added clearance is immediately noticeable, especially with the double cab long bed. The stance looks a lot more aggressive without going over the top. Front end sits just right with no weird rake or squat, and it rides surprisingly well for a spacer kit. Daily driving feel is basically unchanged, which is exactly what I was hoping for. You can definitely feel the suspension maxing out on more technical terrain, so if you're going out offroading often this probably isn’t the setup for you. A full coilover kit would be better suited, but for casual trails and weekend warrior use, it's perfect. It gives you more clearance and a better stance without the cost or complexity of a full suspension overhaul. Approach and departure angles are improved and I’m already eyeing a slightly bigger tire setup now that there’s room. Still plenty of space for articulation without rubbing. Overall, for the price, this kit delivers. It’s not trying to be a high-end coilover setup, but it makes a real difference in both looks and light trail performance. I recently have been experiencing a CarPlay disconnect while driving the truck for no reason. At first I thought it was because I lost my cell signal and would just manually navigate to the Bluetooth Devices settings and manually turn the Apple CarPlay on. My iPhone is still connected to the truck, but the Apple CarPlay button moves to the off position on its own. I have an Apple 15Pro iPhone. I called the dealership and they told me to uninstall and reinstall the Toyota app on my phone. I did so, but the disconnect still occurs from time to time. I have checked and my iPhone has the latest software updates installed. I thought it might be because I was on the move between towers but I have had it happen to me while I am stationary waiting in a parking lot to pick someone up. Any thoughts?
