Hey everyone,

We just finished dyno testing our new front mount intercooler for the 2024+ Tacoma, and wanted to share some real numbers and context with you all.

This test was done on a stock truck with only our intercooler installed — no intake, no tune. The goal was to isolate what the intercooler alone can do. We used 4th gear on the 10-speed auto, which meant we had to feather the throttle below 4K RPM to avoid kickdown, so the low-end numbers are a bit skewed. But above 4K, the results were extremely consistent and repeatable.

Here’s what we saw comparing OE vs SXTH intercooler:
  • Peak power jumped from 248.6 hp to 264.1 hp (+15.5 hp)
  • Peak torque increased from 288.6 lb-ft to 303 lb-ft (+14.4 lb-ft)
  • Midrange output was noticeably stronger across every run
  • Even in worst-case comparisons, our core outperformed factory
Taco IC Best OEM vs Best SXTH.PNG

We’re seeing lower intake temps across the board thanks to:
  • A bar and plate core with 45% more volume
  • Lower pressure drop (1.5 psi vs 2.4 psi stock)
  • Up to 50°F lower temps at the turbo outlet and 12°F lower post-intercooler

It’s a direct bolt-on, retains all OEM sensors and components (including grille shutters), and doesn’t require a tune. It’s also compatible with the 2025+ 4Runner and 2024+ Land Cruiser LC250.
