Installing Superwinch On C4 Front Bumper - Issues With Small Fan/Sensor Clearance?

Hey guys. Anyone else running a bumper with a winch? I have a small fan (maybe some kind of sensor) on my truck I haven't seen on the C4 install guide. It's probably because I have a hybrid, is my guess. But it seems that it will interfere with my winch.

I'm thinking I can just relocate it somewhere along the support. Any reason not to? Anyone know exactly what this little thing is?

I could be wrong - but I think its a little sensor that makes a noise for when you're driving under hybrid power. The one that makes it sound like a space ship lol it's either that one or the two black snail shell looking things above it.

Best and only guess I've seen so far, lol. The snail looking things are the horns.

So it is indeed a little speaker for the hybrid system. Aka the space noise generator.

I ended up bending the part that keep it from rotating, and I used a preexisting hole from the OEM bumper brackets to reattach it upside down and away from the winch. And no, I am not concerned about it coming loose without the bent part.

If you didn't relocate your winch control box, then you should be able to just flip it up and use the same relative holes without bending anything.

I knew it. From my understanding we're supposed to have the noise thing for safety purposes e.g. so a blind person can hear the truck coming if it's running on the hybrid powertrain.

I don’t believe it can - it’s federally required to have it on there

I'll still check, i know it had a lot of customization options that even Carista doesn't have access to.
