How To Access Positive & Negative Terminals (Engine Bay) - Hybrid 4G Tacoma

Thought this might be helpful for those new to hybrids (like myself). If you didn't know already, the starter battery is under the rear seat in a hybrid Tacoma. Good news is, you don't have to remove clips and lift up your rear seat anytime you need access to the battery. In the engine bay, there are two dedicated terminals that are used for jumping the truck if the battery dies. This also applies to attaching something like an air compressor to power with alligator clips. This is ultimately what prompted me to figure this out. We finished off-roading last weekend, and I needed somewhere to hook up my MORRFlate compressor to air back up. Simply put, you need to get access to your passenger's side fuse box and a bracket that grounds out on the motor. Inside the fuse box, there is a terminal with a swiveling red cover on it. This is your positive terminal, essentially the same thing as connecting to the positive post on your starter battery. The negative can literally be anything in the engine bay that's grounded out, but the easiest place to connect your compressor or jumper cables is to a large metal bracket attached to the block (it secures a harness). Runnin4Tacos recently teased a K&N intake they were testing out on the new 2024 Tacoma. The turbo sounds awesome! For me, I don’t hear the turbo as much as I’d like in my truck stock, but it seems like this system allows the truck to breathe a bit more and have those turbo noises heard. Thoughts?
