Hey guys, C4 Fabrication here. We're really excited about the 4th Gen Tacoma as an off-road and overland platform. I towed my snow blower to get it serviced with my buddies utility trailer (4 pin) and my truck got the infamous “stuck in trailer assist mode” issue ever since. Tried all kinds of things and the dealer was two weeks out to try the TSB which they said my truck didn’t even qualify for (?!). So I ordered one of these 7 pin emulators off Amazon.

Plugged it in and it detected a trailer (made it “horse” cause I’ll never have a horse) and drove up the road with the emulator attached. Stopped with it running, Unplugged the emulator then drove a little ways and stopped. Got the trailer disconnected message and selected yes. Bam!!! All better!

Almost blew a gasket on the next stop when the light came back on but it was just snow on the back sensors whew.
