Stuck in trailer assist mode? No trailer to hook up and fix it? Here’s my solution!

Just wanted to draft this up now that I’ve got the Cali Raised 32" Dual Row 5D Optic OSRAM light bar installed in my Stealth Bumper. The fit was perfect, brackets lined up exactly where they should and it sits clean and flush behind the bumper opening. Couldn’t ask for a better match. I wired it into the factory aux switches and it works flawlessly. Everything powers up smooth and it’s nice having it tied into the truck without adding any extra switches. It throws a ton of light down the road while still spreading wide enough to cover everything in front of the truck. This will quite literally turn night to day. I towed my snow blower to get it serviced with my buddies utility trailer (4 pin) and my truck got the infamous “stuck in trailer assist mode” issue ever since. Tried all kinds of things and the dealer was two weeks out to try the TSB which they said my truck didn’t even qualify for (?!). So I ordered one of these 7 pin emulators off Amazon.

Plugged it in and it detected a trailer (made it “horse” cause I’ll never have a horse) and drove up the road with the emulator attached. Stopped with it running, Unplugged the emulator then drove a little ways and stopped. Got the trailer disconnected message and selected yes. Bam!!! All better!

Almost blew a gasket on the next stop when the light came back on but it was just snow on the back sensors whew.
