Tacoma Driver’s Door Check Cover Keeps Popping Off: Solutions and Experiences

I don't know what this is, but it literally came right off when I opened my driver door. Not the first time this is happening. It has popped off a couple times.

All the time, I've just popped it back on. Tried not to get in my head about it too much. Doesn't seem broken; it just isn't the most secure piece on the truck.

I'm thinking maybe I'd just glue it permanently but don't know if it serves another purpose, and that's why it wasn't glued by the company during production.

Has anyone else experienced this or have a better solution for it?

Yeah, I think so too. Although, it's not really much of a big deal.

No, it isn’t. Maybe try a small piece of double sided tape to hold it in better, but still allow removal?

I think it was meant to be removed from the start. Since it's nor a big deal, I'd just leave it be. Saw online that it's not supposed to be glued. Glad I haven't even done that yet
