What would you change about the body design?

There's no denying that the 4G Taco looks pretty awesome. I personally don't think Toyota hit a grand slam in its design. If you could change anything (or a number of things) about the exterior, what would it be? For me, it's the weird "tear drop" faux vent under the head lamp. They could have just left that off and it would have still looked great

I feel the same way about the "tear drop." I bought my Tacoma in blue so that it wouldn't be as noticeable.

It was definitely a choice. I understand that they probably wanted to break up the "monotony" on the body or make the tacoma seem like a "Tundra Lite" but it's still weird.

I don't know that I'm enough of a designer to suggest any major changes, haha. But overall, I think it retains the Tacoma "look" we are used to, with a nice update. No complaints really on my end. I liked it right off the bat. Once I saw the 3rd Gen Tundra, we kinda knew what the 4G was going to look like. And even back then, I was optimistic.

I'd like to get some of those 3rd party replacement lights that go into the tear drop spot but I'd want a plug and play solution and not have to figure out how to wire it. Hopefully a company comes by with that.

I would have to say the twisting lifting plastic bedrail caps Here's a pic of the bottom side. Too many spaces and gaps and held on w plastic clips and doubled sided tape on styrofoam.
