If you're looking at getting a liftgate support because your Tacoma didn’t come with one, it takes a simple DIY to have one added to your truck's liftgate.

It's only about 20 minutes for the whole installation process, and you can even get the wife to help out because it has one of the easiest installation processes.

Getting a liftgate installed can really improve your truck's functionality and add a little more protection. If you're a truck owner seeking a little mod upgrade that's stress-free, I highly recommend getting this. That's if your truck didn't come with one.

What is a liftgate support? How do I know if I don’t have one? For reference I’ve got the 25 TrailHunter.
A lifegate support is just a gas strut that helps you open and close your tailgate smoothly.

Just check your tailgate for any electronic components or you can try to operate your tailgate with a gentle push to see if it closes automatically. That way, you can confirm if your truck has got a lifegate support.
