2024 TOYOTA TACOMA TRD OFFROAD
What's up guys,

We're stoked to start working on the new 4th Gen Tacoma and first up is fitting 37" tires. We put together a video overview of what we had to do to trim the fender wells.

Fitting 37" tires on a stock 2024 Toyota Tacoma does come with a few challenges and necessary modifications—but compared to the previous 3rd Gen Tacoma, it’s a much easier process. If you're upgrading from a 3rd Gen, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how straightforward it is to make 37s work on the new platform.

For those considering this upgrade, here are the key takeaways:

Necessary Modifications:
  • Parts Removal: Removal of the wheel crash supports and mud flaps are required.
  • Trimming: Minor trimming of the wheel well fender flares and fender body plastics is required.
  • Suspension Adjustments: Implementing a slight lift and selecting wheels with the appropriate offset can facilitate the accommodation of larger tires.
Performance Implications:
  • Acceleration: Despite the larger tire size, the Tacoma maintains reasonable acceleration, achieving 0-30 mph with minor rubbing. We are really impressed with how this new Tacoma handles the extra unsprung weight.
  • Daily Driving: While the 37-inch tires offer an aggressive aesthetic, they may not be practical for everyday use due to potential rubbing and the need for continuous adjustments.

Great information! I'll be fitting 37s myself in the not so distant future. Looks like it was pretty straightforward, at least compared to the nightmare of fitting 35s on a 3rd Gen Tacoma... Lol.

If you guys want to get an early look at our new bumper for the Tacoma, stop by the MOORE Expo at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri.

Catch the debut at the end of the month. You’ll want to see this one in person.

If you're not going to be out there, no sweat. We'll get a thread up here once the bumper is on the truck and review for it's debut.
