A few weeks ago I traded my cast-off OEM predator steps for the OEM Roof rack (pt767-35100) and finally got around to installing it today.
Installation was very easy and only took me 30 minutes. After installation I took it for a quick test drive: overall it is rock solid on the truck and only a little additional wind noise with no vibration or rattles. I took it to around 85 mph on the freeway and it was also pretty windy.
Overall thoughts:
Toyota made some weird design choices with this one - there are only 3 bars on the rack and it seems like there should be two more. The bars are spaced fairly close together and really don't offer much room. It does look like there are two additional positions for the the bars, but I have yet to try the bars in those spots. Additionally the back piece is plastic and not usable as a of mounting point. It really feels like the rack was made/designed as an afterthought and not a lot of effort was put into it.
Weight loading is 132 lbs evenly distributed load dynamic and 425lbs static. The front wind fairing does touch the paint on the front and is something I will be keeping an eye on.
From Toyota the MSRP is listed at $1,175. For that price and with so many better aftermarket options that are cheaper, i would not spend any money on it
