You might be able to achieve the same desired look with a more aggresive tread pattern than a larger tire, and keep the OEM rims. What is the reason for wanting larger tires?I am getting ready to purchase a 2024 Tacoma, this will be my first ever Toyota. I am thinking about putting larger tires on my truck and wanted to know if I need to also purchase new rims.

Then depending on which Tacoma trim you decide on you’ll just be looking for All Terrain or Mud Terrain tires instead of the Highway All Seasons that come on it.More aggressive look.
So which part of the tire size formula e.g., 245/70R17 would I change to look for 35” tires?@Independence Overland just confirmed 35" tire fitment with ease over on this post: https://4gtaco.com/threads/trailhunter-tacoma-on-35s-colorado.475/post-1355
If you want bigger tires, you don't need new wheels. Just buy a 35" tire for your specific OEM wheel spec.
A lot of guys run bigger tires on factory wheels. Nothing wrong with that.
