Hey everyone,
I have been doing some research on some rock sliders for the taco. I currently don't have any, but definitely want some before I do any tough off-roading. There are a lot of options out there - want to hear what you all think about the ones you have? Any recommendations? There are different brands with major price differences. Is it worth it to go the pricer route with the rock sliders?

Hey man I have done some research on rock sliders and the ones that I will be going with. The Nytop rock sliders they suck up to the body of the truck allowing for more clearance unlike the tubed rock sliders. They still have a flat top to them so you can use it as a step if needed.

Traditional sliders are tube, and maybe steps. I went a different direction than tradition, and installed the sliders from Victory 4x4. One warning. Part of the install uses 'nut tabs.' Put some tubing on the handle so they don't drop into the frame. The bolts that come with the nut tabs are too short, so consider getting longer hardware to make the install easier. Also, when installing the 1/2" thread cutting bolts, get them started with the impact, then hand tighten.

One feature I liked was the integration of rock lights at each end. Lights included. I wired mine to the Aux2 switch.

I went with RCI sliders. I can easily jack the pickup up from them and are wide enough to protect against rocks hitting the rear fenders.
