Tacoma Wheel and Tire Upgrade: +20 Offset Concerns

I'm sure I'm not alone when I see this box and don't know its name or use. It's too deep for a phone or keys, and hard to get stuff out. It looks like a tray mod or divider would help a lot. Even though it's a weird box, I keep clean wipes for my glasses there. That's all I can think to do with it. I also saw a weird spot on the dash. I think it's made for the stock trailer brake. Since I don't have that, there's just a small box there.

I've been struggling to choose wheels and tires for my 4th generation vehicle.

Right now, I'm considering purchasing a set with Wildpeak A/T3W tires in LT285/70R17 size.

They have a +20 offset, and I'm hoping they won't rub with the stock suspension.

Would love to have the opinion of others. Maybe that would help me to make a better choice.
