Tire rotation Frequency

Hey all,
I just hit 5K miles on the taco - did a couple mild off-roading trips within the 5K.
Are you guys getting tires rotated on every oil change or are you doing it more often? Does it make much of a difference in the ride?
I've heard both but would appreciate some insight from those who take their Tacos off-roading often.

I have rotated every 5k alongside my oil changes religiously. I found that especially if you take it off road the wear on them gets dramatically worse the longer you do not rotate. I have had Yokohama MT's that I waited too long to rotate and they became uneven with peaks and valleys on the tread, making the ride super bumpy at anything under 10mph.
