Welded Nuts For Skid Plate Broke Off Inside Frame

Now this is a project I don't wish on anyone...

Fixing the nuts in my frame that are used to mount skid plates. Mine broke off inside the frame. Had to bust the welder out. Very annoying to do but I need my skid plates!

Dude... how did this even happen? Did you overtighten? Smash the skid really good?

Not sure how it happend, the skids have definitely been used so it could definitely be that
