What are everyone's thoughts on the cloth seats? I ended up with cloth in mine, and honestly I’m kind of glad. With the dog, I feel like all those little holes in SofTex would be impossible to keep clean. One muddy paw, and I feel like I would be scrubbing forever.

I threw seat covers on mine right away anyways (Rough Country neoprene right now), mostly because of dirt and camp smoke. So, part of me thinks even if I had SofTex, I’d just keep it covered the whole time since I would be too scared to ruin them.

Has anyone else gone back and forth on this? Do you regret getting cloth or SofTex? I’ve been eyeing those custom-fit leather covers that look OEM- seems like it might be the best of both worlds. I will do a full review between the two later on, they definitely have their own pros/cons.

Mine had cloth, DIY Katzkins far easier to keep clean with the dogs!

I don't hate the cloth seats. They still have the basic design, and they're way more comfortable than 3G ones. I got leather in mine, but threw on some PRP seat covers for a custom touch and to protect the seats.

I’m planning on keeping the cloth seats until they get too dirty/worn, then replace them with Katzskin leather. Next truck I hope to have a trim that includes Softex. I guess it depends on your desired use.

My light tan inserts got stained the first week! Wasn’t a difficult process, but did take me 2 days cause my fingers were cramping up so bad!

Wow! That’s an impressive upgrade. Nice job.
Here’s a simple how to, FYI wrinkles go away after a couple weeks.
