- 2025 Tacoma TRD Offroad Long Bed Upgrade Package
Just wanted to share my thoughts on the Rough Country ditch light kit for the 4th gen. I went with the wide-angle Osram option and I’ve been impressed. These things are bright 13,500 lumens with a really wide spread they light up the sides of the road and trail in a way the stock headlights never do.
The install was straightforward since it’s a bolt-on kit. Everything I needed came right in the box: brackets, lights, and a harness. No chasing down compatibility issues or random wiring pieces. Took me about ten minutes to get it all mounted, and it doesn’t mess with the washer spray pattern, which I know some other kits can do.
Wiring was super easy, especially since most of the new Tacomas come with AUX wiring from the factory. I even made a quick write-up of the stock AUX wiring here: https://4gtaco.com/threads/how-to-wire-accessories-to-factory-aux-buttons-harness.1232/
If you like having extra visibility or spend any time off-road, this kit is worth it. On dark backroads and trails, it’s a night-and-day difference. Plus, the price is tough to beat, it starts at $104.
