Everyone knows what a hard shell is and how beneficial it can be, but if you don’t know what a Smartcap is you may just be missing out. I got lucky enough to find one of these on facebook marketplace for a good deal. The quality on these is truly amazing. The weather sealing (if done correctly) holds up very well. The pop up doors are my favorite when it comes to this hard shell. These doors even lock on the side. My only complaint is the rubber that shits on the locking mechanism can break off when cold. So far my experience with the Smartcap has been good but I’ll keep everyone updated on problems and future experiences.

I recently installed some Cali Raised ditch brackets onto my 4th Generation Toyota Tacoma. These were super super easy to install and they just use the OEM bolts that attached the hood to the hinges. They have a good amount of room for my Baja lights and also sit low enough to clear the windshield when the hood is opened.
