Hey everyone,

I’ve got a small crack or chip on the front windshield of my 2025 4th Gen Tacoma that’s been slowly spreading. Before I contact a glass shop, I wanted to see what you all recommend. Is it worth trying a DIY repair kit first, or should I plan on replacing the entire windshield?

Has anyone here had success repairing chips on the 4th Gen yet?

Also, are there any Tacoma specific concerns with sensors, cameras, or recalibration after replacement?

I’d really appreciate any advice, product suggestions, or trusted shop recommendations.

We need to see a photo to give any kind of feedback. Take a few angles and upload so we can see it.

You might need to recalibrate, yes. I think Toyota has to do it. But not 100%.

I would probably only want to use OEM, or an OEM manufacturer.

Does your insurance have coverage? Could be north of 1k with calibration, etc. Might be cheaper at a small shop, but harder to get OEM glass.
