Lexus GX550 Wheels & Tires On Tacoma - TPMS Sensor Issues

Hey,

Decided to see if Lexus GX550 wheels and tires would fit without modification…they did! So I am super pleased with the look. Now for the troubling part or the question to this community. TPMS sensors don’t work from Lexus to Toyota without some kind of reprogramming according to the local parts person I called.

What is the cheapest fix for this or do I just leave it as is…no dash lights like GM or Ford at least not yet! Thoughts?

This looks amazing. I was just researching wheel alternatives and these GX wheels came up. What size tires are you running on them? Any noticeable difference in speedo/mpg/etc? I also have an SR5.

It's really going to depend on whether or not the Lexus/Toyota parts can communicate. I don't see why not, but these new gens have very specific and sensitive TPMS systems. Best case, they can be reprogrammed. Worst case, you need to buy new 4G Tacoma sensors for them. Can be pricey. I haven't seen anything aftermarket that works yet.
