Method For Protecting Against Hail?

I just put a deposit down for a 2026 Tacoma TRD-Off-road! I’m looking for your best solutions for a truck cover to help protect against hail. I park outside so I’m looking to prevent damage.

Do you get excessive amounts of hail where you live?

Going to be tough to protect your truck though. Best bet would be to throw a thick blanket over the truck if you notice a big storm coming. Sure, you could get some PPF or something, but that's not really meant to prevent dents from larger hail.

Ah, that makes sense. I've seen people cover their vehicles in cardboard, too. But if that big hail comes down, very hard to prevent damage.

I have some family out in OK! I have heard of some different covers you can get that are allegedly "hail proof", otherwise a blanket is probably best. Do you have any area to buy a car port? I know you can get some for decent prices online, just not sure about quality.

I don’t have any area for a car port. I’m going to go with a seal skins cover and some moving blankets. We will see how it goes. Fingers crossed I won’t need it.
