REV Hang on 2024 Tacoma

Anyone with a manual experience REALLY bad REV hang? I mean like 4-7 second of continuous REV hang…its effecting drivability.. contacted the dealership and left a voicemail. I’ll try to keep this updated..

Any update on this? I noticed my automatic has absurd rev hang but didn't know if it was the same on the manual. That's crazy if so.

Yes I have rev hang as well I just do slower shifts, my 20 Tacoma was the Same way but didn’t hang quite as long.

Rev hang happens when RPMs stay high for a bit after you release the throttle. Usually from poor electronic throttle programming, or an ECU software problem. A tune would probably fix it.

Ah gotcha! I feel like this happens with most newer trucks.
