For a while now, I've been looking at getting tailgate anti-theft installed for my truck. The only thing that has been holding me back is I don't know if it was an issue on previous Tacoma generations.

My tailgate locks, but I'd still love to get one just to be on the safe side in case criminals know how to get under the truck and short the wires to unlock the tailgate. You never know.
