Tacoma Tailgate Troubles: No Manual Lever?

I have an Underground colored 2024 Toyota Tacoma and the paint when I received this truck was BAD. I’m not sure if it was the dealer prep, transportation, or shipping yard that got their paws on my truck, but it needed some love. I mentioned this in my previous YouTube videos and it seems I’m not the only one who has a Toyota in this color who has had some issues, 4Runner included! My Tacoma was hazy, had swirl marks, and even some micro scratches. I was able to have my detailer do a single stage polish which helped knock down a good majority of the imperfections. It's neat having five ways to open your tailgate, but then you find out there's no manual lever, haha.

I'll try disconnecting the battery tomorrow; first oil change is due soon anyway. Still, it's a pretty silly issue.

Anyone else dealing with tailgate troubles? It's really bumming out my weekend vibes.
