Cup Holders on Door

Is it me or are the cupholders on the front doors next to useless? I mean, a small water "will" fit in that area but accessing it while driving is a PITA for me.

I put sunscreen and bug repellent in those spots. Works for me. Handy when I step out of the truck in the bush.
