Hey! I know this is a topic people are curious about, whether you just want to know where these batteries are or you want to run leads to power your accessories.

Simply put, both of them are under the rear seats. I've attached a photo below. The hybrid battery takes up most of the room (it's smaller than I thought it would be) and the starter battery is right next to it (I originally thought it didn't have one and used the hybrid battery).

Dang those battery’s take up a lot of space. Is there any room for storage under the rear seats?

Yeah there's no room to store stuff. Personally, I never used the under seat storage. But that's just me.

A little bummed having to now route accessories to the backseat instead of the engine bay, but hey at least it's hidden!

I know SDHQ has a 12V relocation kit ready for the 3rd Gen Tundra, and I believe they are working on a kit right now for the 4th Gen Tacoma. The kit is extremely pricy, though. Almost $1000 for a relo kit is pretty wild.

If you're local to Sacramento, @stellarbuilt is doing these 12V relocation kits. They bring positive and negative terminals into the engine bay, mounted on a bracket just like the SDHQ kit for a fraction of the cost. Makes it super easy to wire up winches and switches.

Hoping to get that full kit from Stellar Built listed on our site at some point so we can ship across the US.

But if you're local to Northern California, you can have them install it now.

Ahhh there it is! They must have just dropped it. I couldn't find it before. Good looking out! But yes, pricy!

Update... that's for a Tundra, not Tacoma. Not sure if 4G was released yet.

@rustytaco yeah, noted that in the first line.. "ready for the 3rd Gen Tundra, and I believe they are working on a kit right now for the 4th Gen Tacoma"

Hopefully, they will have something out soon for the 4th Gen Tacoma.

You can also build one of these kits yourself pretty easily.

Just run some 2-gauge wire up to the engine bay and then mount some terminals on a tray like the KC Lights bracket for the 4th Gen Tacoma. Works on 6G4R, too.
