We’re thrilled to announce that Perry Parts is now offering bump stops for the 4th Gen Tacoma!

If you’re new to our products, we specialize in innovative designs like our patent-pending air damping bump stops. These stops dissipate energy in a way similar to hydraulic bump stops, but without the use of oil.

Our design has been third-party verified to shed up to four times more energy than some of our competitors, making a noticeable impact on your vehicle’s off-road handling and ride quality. Every product is rigorously tested on our in-house suspension dyno, and these bump stops have been validated to endure 100,000 cycles at over 2,000 pounds of force.

For the 4th Gen Tacoma, we’ve fine-tuned these bump stops specifically to complement the truck’s weight distribution, ensuring optimal ride quality and performance.

You might be surprised how often your bump stops engage on the trail—and how much upgrading them can transform your ride experience.

And here’s the best part: our Black Friday sale is live now! There’s no better time to grab a set of Perry Parts at an unbeatable price.

What about the front bump stops?

A lot of problems with the front bump stops on the new Tacoma.

The bump stops are built into the shock slotted on the shock shaft so it's not super easy for the aftermarket guys to make bump stops for the front. We need a bolt-on bracket or weld-on bracket for front bump stops on the 4th Gen Tacoma.

Super strange why Toyota did this for the Tacoma.

Well, that is really disappointing because I can definitely feel a hard hit on the front when hitting big potholes etc... Toyota has really messed up the Tacoma 4G front end!! 🤯

Does anyone know, are the Top-hats the same across all models? ie. the Two-Piece pressed design? Also, what options are available for front bump-stop?

@PerryParts - would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Shock mounted bumps are in the works for multiple different platforms - which would apply to the Tacoma. Otherwise, the next alternative is a weld-on frame to mount a front bump stop and contact the LCA.
If we can dissipate the impact force over a longer distance, the wear on the coilover top hat would be reduced, although a top hat reinforcing plate would still be a good idea, several instances of that top hat fatigue cracking.

Agreed. It probably saved them a few bucks not having an added mount on the frame, but at the same time, they've opened a whole new can of worms instead.

As I add more weight to the vehicle, I see the need to order some PerryParts bump stops, is there a discount code by chance?
