Brand new Taco, bed rail plastic caps appear to be secured by little pieces of Styrofoam glued to the caps and to the metal box all letting go causing the plastic caps to be loose and lifting up. Dealer tried re gluing back down but glue ate the styrofoam so waiting for at least one new bed cap from dealer as other one still holding. New ones on lot all doing the same. Even if you put a little pressure on the inside edge of the plastic bed cap it lifts leaving a space as seen in the pics I attached.

Same issue here. Looking at service info it states that the rails are not to be reused after removal.

where do you find the service info stating that? I had to snap part of that rail back down after getting it back from the dealer who tried to re glue the front part of the rail back down. thx

Here is what the bottom looks like, shitty design in my opinion

Mine were like that from day 1. Kind of annoying for a new truck. If I stand on them they flex like crazy too. Would be interested in a metal replacement not just another plastic factory one.
I would like a metal replacement too!
