Curious if anyone else has experienced this problem? I am well past transmission issues. I just got my truck. I don't want to exaggerate the problem. It isn't a super hard shift and it doesn't happen every single time. Seems to happen more when transmission is cold. It also happens one time, but not the next. Tough to pin point. I spoke with TRD Jon and he said it happens to his as well. Potentially the trans is still learning how my driving habits are. It doesn't feel broken, just slightly harder than it should be. Just so you know, my 125k mile 3G always shifted smoothly, even when cold. I also have a hybrid, not sure if that matters. Anyone else notice this?

I have a trd pro and I’ve noticed it as well and like you said it’s not all the time , are you sure it’s a 1 to 2 shift? I actually thought it was because only the electric motor at slow speed then gas motor turning back on when you give it throttle that was causing that feeling. The reason I was thinking that was when I sit parked while it’s running the motor shuts off and when it kicks back on and I’m not expecting it, it gives the truck a pretty good shake.

Yes, I also feel what you're talking about and it seems to be normal. My issue is isolated from that, from my experience. But this is when the gas motor is running. It's super random too. Hot or cold transmission. I would just call it a harder shift than a super seamless and smooth one. Not like anything is breaking, but I'm pretty aware of all the vibrations, etc. Maybe the transmission is still "learning", maybe I'm feeling like the blow off valve? Idk. It's hard to say!

Haha you got me questioning it now, I’m gonna try to pay closer attention to it now

Lol. My bad. But I definitely feel the little rumble/shake from the motor turning on and off. But to answer your first comment, yeah from 1-2 primarily. Mainly when speeding up, rather than slowing down.

My off-road has about 2,000 miles. It sometimes does that from 1st gear and 2nd gear.

Sometimes the truck will accelerate quick as if I’m flooring it (not actually). It’s just taking a while to get used to the acceleration. I do keep the truck between eco and normal mode.

When did you purchase yours?

They do get going sometimes, lol. Especially the hybrid with the added boost.
