On my last wheeling trip, I ran over a super sharp rock and tore open my sidewall. It wasn't even a tough trail, just the perfect storm for a tear.

I swapped over my full-size spare (I'm running 37s) and went about my business.

When the tire reached 0 PSI, it initially registered without any problems. But after a few hundred miles, I went to fill up, and when I turned the truck back on, I got the error message - malfunction visit your dealer.

Has anyone had this happen before? I wonder if I'll actually need to go to the dealer to have them reset it. My thought process is that if I switch the sensor from the damaged tire to the good one, it might start working again once it registers pressure.

Any suggestions?
