2024 TRD Off Road
Hey everyone,

Wanted to share something we’ve been working on for the 2024+ Tacoma: a side-step relocation bracket that lets you keep the OEM step while installing our rear recovery point.

The issue we ran into is that the factory step sits right where our recovery point needs to go, so until now, you had to pick one or the other. We figured there had to be a better way, so we designed a simple bracket that shifts the step just enough to clear the recovery point while keeping it fully functional.

How It Works

  • Repositions the OEM side step to make room for the recovery point
  • Uses factory mounting points—no drilling, no cutting
  • Made from 304 stainless steel with a powder-coated finish for durability
  • Keeps everything looking factory while solving the clearance issue

If you’re running an off-road setup and want to keep both a functional step and a strong rear recovery point, this should be a solid option. Install is straightforward, and we made sure it fits cleanly without messing up the truck’s lines.

We’re finalizing everything now and will have more details soon. If this is something you’ve been needing for your Tacoma, let us know what you think!

I think this is a great idea and definitely needed for those of us with old beat up bodies sliding into decrepitude lol.
Will it work with the ARB points that come stock on the Trailhunter also?

We aren't sure as of right now as we don't have a Trailhunter local to us for testing.

Some additional images now that we have the stainless steel prototype in! Fitment is perfect and we are *fairly* certain this will also work on Trailhunter trims with the ARB recovery point, but we will be testing that shortly.

The new mounting bracket for the step is stainless, and the recovery hardware in our kits is dacromet-coated grade 10 steel. FEA analysis was performed with a simulated 400lb load on the bed step, with observed stresses allowing for a factor of safety just under 2!

This is an awesome win. One of those things that totally adds to the daily use and comfort of the truck.
This is one of those small purchases that seems like no biggie but really allows for more enjoyment of the truck without sacrificing the pull points.
It may be a safety factor of 2 but it's an ease factor of 10 lol

Do a modified air dam the retains the finished look underneath the front bumper... but about half the depth of the OEM air dam.

I'll buy your first one.
