6ft bed or more horsepower?

New to Tacomas and didn't realize it but looks like you can't get the 6ft bed with the I-Force MAX engine. I thought I would pose the question in this group of what folks would choose between these two options and why. I've always like a larger bed to do more with. I don't plan much towing beyond a few times a year.

Thoughts?

6ft bed with smaller engine or 5ft bed with more powerful engine?

Should be possible, as Trailhunter has i-Force MAX & 6ft option. Where, the Non-MAX likely gets better fuel efficiency. I'm averaging 17-18mpg combined with my Trd Pro, where I live.

Thanks, I do see that option now with the Trailhunter. Was hoping to not have to spend that much just to have a 6ft bed. Decisions decisions.

I would imagine a 6ft bed would be an option across all sub-models, limitation being what Toyota manufactures and sends to dealers.

Nice . In short commutes I get 20.4 mpg. For a 100 mile drive about 26 mpg.

At first I did regret not going for the hybrid off road but I’m happy with the gas model.

Get the power dude. I love it. I also don't see the personal need for a longer bed, even if the added space is nice.

Agreed, the extra power is nice. Plus, if you putt around, say for getting mail or going to a neighbors house, if you are easy enough on the throttle, you can use battery power to drive there.

I wanted a LB for hobbies, like paddleboarding and biking, but would have opted for the extra power if available. Not sure why Toyota limited this, but both dealers I spoke to were not aware until I mentioned it.

That's odd..as I do believe the TrailHunter is equipped with LB and Hybrid Power train. And as you pointed out, the only model with Long Bed and Hybrid Power...
